Imran urges countrymen to take fresh oath of patriotism

DHAKA, March 26, 2021 (BSS) – Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment
Minister Imran Ahmed today called upon people of the country for taking
afresh oath of patriotism on the golden jubilee of country’s independence.

“The victory of the War of Liberation was the best achievement of the
Bengalee nation for thousands of years. We need to devote ourselves for the
well-being of the country and its people, and this is the best way to express
our gratitude to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,”
Imran said.

He said while addressing a discussion organised by the Ministry of
Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment at Prabasi Kalyan Bhaban here this
morning marking the Golden Jubilee of Independence, said a press release.

“Every family should take initiatives to tell the new generation about the
true history of our independence. A nation that does not know its true
history can never be prosperous.”

Former Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University Dr Nasrin Ahmad was present as
the chief guest in the meeting chaired by Secretary of the Ministry Dr Ahmed
Munirush Salehin, said the release.

Director General of Manpower Employment and Training Bureau Md Shamsul
Alam, Director General of Wage Earners Welfare Board Md Hamidur Rahman,
Managing Director of Expatriate Welfare Bank Md Zahidul Haque also spoke on
the occasion.
