RDC secretary urges to follow Bangabandhu’s ideology
DHAKA, March 26, 2021 (BSS) – Secretary of Rural Development and Cooperatives (RDC) Rezaul Ahsan today said independence is our greatest achievement of all time thus all must follow the ideology of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, architect of independent Bangladesh .
He called for following ideology of Bangabandhu and spirit of the Liberation War, saying “Everyone needs to know the real history of the Liberation War to make this historic achievement meaningful and the truth must be presented before the next generation… We all have a responsibility to ensure good governance, social justice, transparency and accountability to make sustainable development.
He said this while addressing a discussion on the occasion of “Golden Jubilee of Independence” at Cooperatives Department at city’s Agargaon area, said a press release.
“Bangabandhu was the voice of protest from his student life, he was vocal against all injustice and his role was predominant in every Bengali freedom movement….today, we humbly and gratefully remember the Father of the greatest Bengali nation of all time,” Rezaul said.
“Bangladesh is now a role model of development in the world under the competent leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, according to various international studies, Bangladesh is already considered as the 41st economic power in the world. It will be considered as the 25th economic power by the middle of 2035,” he added.
Registrar and Director General of the Department of Cooperatives M Aminul Islam presided over the discussion while Additional Registrar M Ahsan Kabir, Cooperative Academy, Comilla President Anjan Kumar Sarkar among others, were present,.
