Golden jubilee of independence observed in Panchagarh

PANCHAGARH, March 26, 2021 (BSS) – The Golden Jubilee of Independence and
National Day-2021 was observed in the Panchagarh district with a vow for
building Sonar Bangla dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman.

The day’s programme began with a 31-gun salute after dawn on the premises
of Muktijoddha area in front of police super office. District
administration, police, Awami League, Bangladesh Chhatra League and other
political, socio-cultural organisations placed wreaths there. The National
flag was hoisted atop all government, non-government offices marking the day.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr Sabina Yeasmin, police Super Yousuf Ali, Zila
Parishad chairman Anowar Sadat Samrat, Sadar upazila chairman Amirul Islam,
Panchagarh Pouro Mayor Zakia Katun, Panchagarh Press Club placed wreaths at
the memorial in the morning.

On the other hand, district administration gave reception to the families
and heroic freedom fighters.

Special prayers were also offered seeking salvation of martyred and peace
as well as prosperity of the country.

Improved diets were served in hospital, orphanages and prisons.
