Birth centenary implementation body pays homage to Bangabandhu

DHAKA, March 26, 2021 (BSS) – Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman’s Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation
Committee today paid homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman marking the
Golden Jubilee of Independence and National Day-2021.

On behalf of the implementation committee, Education Minister Dr Dipu
Moni, Chief Coordinator of the committee Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury and
Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Secretary M Mahbub Hossain placed
wreaths at the mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in front of the
International Mother Language Institute (IMLI) in the city, said a press
release.

The officials and staff of the implementation committee office also paid
homage to the Father of the Nation by laying a wreath at the mural of
Bangabandhu there.

Bangladesh is celebrating ‘Mujib Year’ through zeal and fervour with the
addition of another momentous milestone for Bengalis: the golden jubilee of
its independence.

A grand celebration of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu and the golden
jubilee of country’s independence, which marked the physical attendance of
five heads of states and governments and the virtual attendance of other
global leaders, started on March 17 at the National Parade Square here.

The 10-day grand celebration is being ended today while Indian Prime
Minister Narendra Modi will attend at the function of the last day as the
guest of honour.
