Police take solo lead after sixth round

DHAKA, March 24, 2021 (BSS) – Reigning champions Bangladesh Police took
solo lead with maximum twelve points after the sixth round matches of “Mujib
Barsho” Premier Division Chess League now being held at Bangladesh Chess
Federation hall-room.

SAIF Sporting Club stands at second position with eight points out of five
matches.

Titas Club placed at third position with seven points, Uttara Central
Chess Club is in fourth position with six points and Sahin Chess Club and
Bangladesh Biman are sharing the fifth slot with five points.

In sixth round matches, Bangladesh Police beat Shahin Chess Club by 2.5-
1.5 game points, Titas Club beat Janata Bank Officer Welfare Society by 2.5-
1.5 game points, Bangladesh Biman beat Sonali Bank sports & Recreation Club
by 3-1 game points and Sheikh Russel Chess Club drew with Leonine Chess Club
by 2-2 game points.

The seventh round matches start tomorrow (Thursday) from 3 pm at the same
venue.
