NCL: Marshall’s century put Dhaka Metro on top
DHAKA, March 23, 2021 (BSS)-Captain Marshall Ayub struck 112 as Dhaka Metro put them top over Barishal Division in the first round game of the Bangabandhu 22nd National Cricket League (NCL) at Barishal Divisional Stadium today.
At the end of the day two game, Shohidul Islam was batting on 42 with Abu Haider on 21 as Dhaka Metro had already taken 83 runs lead.
Barishal was bowled out for 241 in its first innings on day one.
Opener Zahiduzzman gave Metro a solid platform, hitting 60. But after his dismissal when Metro lost some wicket in quick succession, Marshall took the onus and drove the side past safety. Wicket-keeper batsman Zabid Hossain made 41 to help him to some extent.
Kamrul Islam Rabbi and Monir Hossain bagged two wickets apiece for Barishal.
