MANIKGANJ, March 23, 2021 (BSS) – A motorcycle rider was killed in a
road accident on the Dhaka-Aricha highway near Manora area in Manikganj Sadar
upazila today.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Hossain, 32, son of Nasir Uddin,
a resident of Puranghior village under Ghior upazila of the district.
Officer-in-Charge of Golora Highway Police Station Monirul Islam said
the accident occurred at about 11 am when a speedy truck knocked the
motorbike from behind in the area, leaving its rider Hossain dead on the
spot.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Manikganj district-250 bed
hospital for autopsy, the OC added.
Police seized the truck but its driver and helper managed to flee away.
A case was filed with Manikganj Sadar Police Station in this connection.
