Charge-sheet against Erfan Selim to be taken into cognizance on Apr 28
DHAKA, March 21, 2021 (BSS) – A court here today set April 28 to take into
cognizance the charge-sheet in an assault case against suspended Dhaka South
City Corporation (DSCC) ward-30 councilor Erfan Salim.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Atiqul Islam passed the order and issued a
summons to plaintiff Lt Wasif Ahmad Khan for appearing before the court on
that day.
Investigation officer (IO) and sub-inspector (SI) Mominul Huq of detective
branch (DB) of police on February 11 filed the charge-sheet against five
including Erfan Selim.
Erfan, son of lawmaker Haji Md Selim and his men allegedly assaulted Lt
Wasif Ahmad Khan in the capital’s Kalabagan signal area on October 25, 2020
evening.
The navy officer filed the case against Erfan, his bodyguard Md Zahid,
protocol officer AB Siddique Dipu, drivers Mizanur Rahman and Ripon Qazi and
2/3 unidentified persons.
