Bangabandhu’s murals to be built in all UPs: Asaduzzaman

LAXMIPUR, March 20, 2021 (BSS) – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today said murals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will be erected in all the Union Parishads of the country in phases.

He stated this while attending a virtual inaugural programme to unveil a mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the nameplate of heroic freedom fighters which were established at the Parbatinagar Union Parishad office in Sadar upazila of Laxmipur district.

On the occasion of birth centenary of Bangabandhu and golden jubilee of the country’s independence, Parbatinagar Union Parishad took initiative to set up mural of Bangabandhu and nameplates of heroic freedom fighters.

This initiative of Parbatinagar Union Parishad of Laxmipur will be a model for the whole country, the minister added.

With Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Safiuzzaman Bhuiyan in the chair, the programme was attended, among others, by deputy commissioner of Laxmipur Anwar Hossain Akand, Superintendent of Police Dr AHM Kamruzzaman, Mayor of Laxmipur Municipality and freedom fighter Abu Taher, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Masum as special guests.
