Road accident claims one life in Jashore
JASHORE, March 20, 2021 (BSS) – A man was killed when a Covered Van
collided head-on with a local made vehicle named Trolley in Shamlagachi area
on Jashore-Benapole highway under Sharsha upazila of the district last night.
Police identified the deceased as Afjal Hossain, 58, resident of
Sammondhokathi village in the upazila.
Police and locals said the accident occurred in the area around 8 pm
yesterday as the Covered Van collided head-on with the Trolley, leaving Afjal
sat on the local vehicle dead on the spot.
Sharsha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Badrul Alam said police
seized the ill-fated vehicles from the road.
A case was filed in this connection.
