GAIBANDHA, July 17, 2018 (BSS)-A rousing reception was accorded to Deputy
Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Fazle Rabbi Miah by locals on Monday on the
premises of Fulchhari Pilot High School of the district.
The local people awarded the reception to deputy speaker of the House for
his strides toward nationalizing Fulchhari Pilot High School and undertaking
river bank protection work along the right bank of Brahmaputra from
Balashighat to Ganakabar of Fulchhari upazila.
Gaibandha Pourasabha Mayor Advocate Shah Masud Zahangir Kabir Milon,
Additional District Magistrate ABM Sadiqur Rahman, UNO Abdul Halim Tolstoy,
Fulchhari Thana Officer-in-charge M. Belal Hossain, Head Teacher Milon Kumar
Barman, Freedom Fighter Shamsul Alam and student Raonak Jahan addressed the
function, among others.
Fulchhari Upazila Parishad chairman and also chairman of the school
managing committee M. Habibur Rahman presided over the ceremony.
The speakers in their speeches expressed their gratefulness to the deputy
speaker for nationalizing the school to ensure quality education and doing
river bank protection work to save the homesteads and arable land of the
area.
They also wished good health and long life of Fazle Rabbi Miah so that he
could do more beneficial work for the people of his constituency during the
tenure of the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The deputy speaker thanked the locals for arranging such a function and
sought whole hearted cooperation of all to strengthen his hands for the
development of Fulchhari upazila.
