101st birth anniversary of Bangabandhu celebrated in Habiganj
HABIGANJ, March 17, 2021 (BSS) – The 101st birth anniversary of Father of
the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children Day-2021
was celebrated in the district today with due respect and festivity.
Marking the day, the district administration, Awami League (AL),
Muktijoddha Sangsad and other social and cultural organizations celebrated
the day holding different programmes, included hoisting of national flags in
all government and non government offices, placing of floral wreaths at the
portrait of Bangabandhu in front of the district Awami League office this
morning the city.
Advocate Md Abu Zahir, MP, Deputy Commissioner Ishrat Jahan, Superintendent
of Police Mohammad Ullah, Mayor Ataur Rahman Selim and District Awami League
General Secretary Advocate Alamgir Chowdhury paid homage to the portrait of
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in front of the
district Awami League office this morning.
Later, various government departments, Muktijoddha Sangsad, Awami League
and other social and cultural organizations paid homage to the portrait of
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The district administration has also organized various programs including
doa, milad mahfil and discussion.
The district Awami League organized a discussion meeting on the occasion
of the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman.
