Birth of Bangladesh impossible sans Bangabandhu’s leadership: Swapan
DHAKA, Mar 17, 2021 (BSS) – State Minister for Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) Swapan Bhattacharya today said that it was impossible to think about the birth of Bangladesh without Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his matchless leadership.
“Sheikh Mujib cut his teeth in politics with his gifted talent of leadership since his adolescence and with his surprising leadership he became the complimentary name to Bangladesh,” Swapan said this while inaugurating a mural of Bangabandhu at Jessore’s Manirampur Upazila Parishad premises this morning, said a press release.
The mural was inaugurated to mark the birth centenary of the great leader.
“Bangladesh and Bangabandhu are inseparable names and Bangabandhu, the greatest Bengali of all times led the Independence War in 1971, which ultimately resulted in the birth of Bangladesh,” Swapan added .
He placed wreaths at the mural of Bangabandhu and took part in special prayers offered for salvation of the departed souls of Bangabandhu, his family members and all the martyrs in the great Liberation War .
Upazila Awami League President and Municipal Mayor Kazi Mahmudul Hasan, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Zakir Hossain and other municipality and upazila Awami League leaders were present .
