BAF aircraft to form “100” in sky tomorrow marking Bangabandhu’s birth centenary

DHAKA, March 16, 2021 (BSS) – Bangladesh Air Force will show aerial display with a hundred salutations at different parts of the country tomorrow marking the celebration of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

With the directives of Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, the Aerial Show for making 100 by different aircrafts of BAF will be displayed in different areas of the country, said an ISPR press release here today.

Bangladesh is in festive mood with joy and splendor for the grand celebration of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu.

As part of this exhilaration, the skilled pilots of the Bangladesh Air Force, which was formed by Bangabandhu, will show magnificent aerial display by making 100 with great compassion over the sky of Bangla.

In this fascinating exhibition of F-7, MIG-29, YAK-130, K-8W and PT-6 aircraft of BAF, the skilled pilots of Bangladesh Air Force will add a new dimension to the cheerful and ecstatic colours of the entire nation by making 100 through the formation flying over the blue sky of Bangladesh.

A formation of 17 BAF fighter aircraft of MIG-29 and F-7 will leave Dhaka between 11.45am and 12noon and show the outstanding aerial display over the sky of port city Chattogram at 12.05pm to 12.20pm, over Cox’s Bazar at 12.15pm to 12.30pm, over Barishal at 2.20pm to 2.35pm and over the sky of the capital at 2.30pm to 2.45pm to spread the joy and excitement of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu.

Besides, another formation of 17 BAF fighter aircraft of YAK-130 and K-8W will show the outstanding aerial display over the sky of Rajshahi at 10.15am to 10.30am, over Bogura at 10.45am to 11am, over Sirajganj 11.20am to 11.30am, over the capital at 11.45am to 12noon, over Sylhet 12.30pm to 12.45pm and over Chattogram 1.30am to 1.45pm.

In addition, another formation of 22 BAF trainer aircraft of PT-6 will fly from Jashore and show the outstanding aerial display over the sky of Khulna at 10am to 10.15am, over the mausoleum of Bangabandhu in Tungipara at 10.10am to 10.25am, over Jashore at 11am to 11.15am, over Kushtia at 1.45pm to 2pm and over the sky of Faridpur at 2.05pm to 2.20pm to spread the joy and excitement of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu.

Besides, C-130 transport aircraft and helicopters will make the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation memorable by showing their professional efficiency flying over different areas of the country, including Dhaka and Chattogram, at different times.

The aerial display comprised with BAF fighter aircraft, transport aircraft, trainer aircraft and helicopters will be showed under the overall supervision of BAF Base Bangabandhu Air Captain, Air Vice Marshal M Sayed Hossain.

Air Commodore Khan Md Mahmudul Haque will lead the aerial display of fighter aircraft while Air Commodore Kazi Iqbal Karim will lead the aerial display of K-8W and YAK-130.

Besides, Air Commodore Md Mostafa Mahmood Siddiq will oversee the aerial display of the PT-6 while Group Captain Md Ahsanur Rahman will oversee the transport aircraft and Wing Commander Rayhan Kabir will supervise the helicopter.

The Bangladesh Air Force will be united with the nation at this moment of grand celebration of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
