Closing of Bangabandhu basketball, badminton meets tomorrow
DHAKA, March 16, 2021 (BSS)- The closing ceremony of Bangabandhu badminton
and basketball competitions will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon at
Dhanmondi Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex in the city.
The BWSA has organised both the competitions marking the birth centenary of
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said a Bangladesh
Women’s Sports Associations (BWSA) press release here today.
After the closing ceremony, a ‘doa mahfil’ will also be arranged there.
A total of 28 basketball players from four teams and nearly 39 participants
from junior group singles, senior group singles and doubles of badminton
tournament are taking part in the events, organised by BWSA.
Youth and Sports Ministry’s Additional Secretary (Sports-1) Mohammad Abdul
Karim, NDC, is expected to present in the ceremony of the competitions and
distributed the prizes.
National Sports Council Director (planning and development) Mohammad Sarwar
Jahan will present as special guest on the occasion.
