3 children burnt to death in Cox’s Bazar
COX’S BAZAR, March 16, 2021 (BSS) – Three children of a family were killed
as a fire broke out at their house located in Harbang area under Chakaria
upazila of the district last night.
The victims were identified as Jahedul Islam, 12, Meem Akter, 10, and Mitu
Moni, 8. They are children of Jakir Hossain, who is a carpenter by profession
and a resident of Sabanghata village under the upazila.
Locals said the fire originated from an electrical short circuit at around
11:45pm. The children could not survive as they were in asleep when the fire
engulfed their entire house.
Harbang Union Parishad Chairman Miranul Islam and Chakaria Police Station
Officer-in-Charge Shaker Mohammad Jubayer confirmed the incident.
