RAJSHAHI, March 16, 2021 (BSS) – Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)
during an anti-smuggling drive arrested an alleged drug-peddler with a huge
amount of heroin and yaba tablets in the district last night, said the BGB
sources here today.
The arrested person has been identified as Ashraf Ali, 18, son of late
Abbas Ali of Madarpur village under Godagari upazila in the district.
On a tip-off, a team of the paramilitary force conducted a raid and
arrested Ashraf Ali with two kilograms of heroin and 1,978 yaba tablets from
his house around 1.30 am.
A case was recorded with Godagari Police Station and the arrested person
along with the seized drug items were handed over to police today.
