Zico sees tough challenge in Nepal

DHAKA, March 15, 2021(BSS)- Custodian Anisur Rahman Zico admitted that they
are going to take part a challenging tournament as Nepal and Kyrgyzstan both
are tough opponents.

He was speaking to the pressmen during the team’s practice session held
today at Bangabandhu National Stadium.

“It will be very tough to beat Nepal in their home and Kyrgyzstan is also a
good side so it will be a very challenging tournament for us,” Zico said.

“If we able to give our best as per our ability, then a good thing can be
expected from the tournament,” he said.

“Each member of the national team is best and come to prove himself here…
It’s not easy to make place in the national team … I’ve to take more
challenge in the team,” he said to a questioner when asked how much
challenging to make place in the national team.

The young custodian Zico, who played only two matches for the national
team said, there are a lot of international matches in the coming days as
there are many young booters in the team and it will be a big opportunity for
the young stars to take up the pressure of the big match from now so that the
team can get good success in the future tournament, Zico added.

Mashuk Mia Zoni said they want to perform well and their target would be to
play good football in Nepal.

He said it will be a perfect platform of team’s preparation in Nepal for
the team’s World Cup Qualifiers matches.

Zoni, who backed in the side for a prolong gap, said he feels good as most
of his colleagues are familiar and have a good understanding.

Replying to a questioner he said, “The weather condition of Nepal is quite
same to Bangladesh. So, it will not be a big problem for us as we go to Nepal
five days before the tournament. Hopefully, we’ll try to adjust its weather.”
