DHAKA, March 15, 2021 (BSS) – Newly appointed chief of Special Branch (SB)
of Bangladesh Police Md Monirul Islam and Director General of Rapid Action
Battalion (RAB) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun today paid homage at the
mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at
Tungipara in Gopalganj.
They paid their homage by placing a wreath at the mausoleum of Bangabandhu
and offered special prayers seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of
Bangabandhu and his family members, who were brutally killed on 15 August,
1975.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Khurshid Alam and Additional
Director General of RAB Azad Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police
(Headquarters) Abdullah Al Mahmood, Tungipara Upazila Chairman Md Solaiman
Biswas, Municipal Mayor Sheikh Tozammel Haque Tutul, Upazila Nirbahi Officer
AKM Hedayetul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tungipara police station AFM
Nasim were present, among others.
