World Consumer Right Day observed in Khulna
KHULNA, March 15, (BSS) – With the theme ‘Mujib Borshey Shopath Kori,
Plastic Dushon Rodh Kori’ ((Let’s Swear in Mujib Borsho -Tackle Plastic
Pollution), the World Consumer Rights Day was observed in Khulna today to
ensure reasonable price and quality of products.
The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection, Khulna district
administration and Consumers Association of Bangladesh jointly organised the
programme at the conference room of Khulna deputy commissioner’s office.
Mohammad Ismail Hossain, divisional commissioner of Khulna, was present as
the chief guest while deputy commissioner Md Helal Hossain in the chair.
Marking the day, a truck procession was brought out from the deputy
commissioner’s office participated by people from all walks of life.
Md Yousup Ali, additional district magistrate of Khulna, Advocate Enayet
Ali, president of CAB, SM Zahid Hossain, President of Khulna Press Club,
Professor Md Alamgir Kabir, ex-commander of city unit Muktijuddha Command
Council, Md Ibrahim Hossain, deputy director of National Consumer Rights
Protection of Khulna, among others, spoke at the event.
