KHULNA, March 14, 2021 (BSS) – Khulna district administration and Khulna
city and district units of Awami League have chalked out elaborate programmes
marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman and the National Children’s Day-2021.
The national flags will be hoisted atop of all public and private
buildings and the people of all walks of life will place wreathes at
Bangabandhu sculpture here.
Special prayers will be offered at mosques, temples, churches and other
religious institutions, seeking salvation of his departed soul.
Improved diet will be served at all hospitals, orphanage centers and jail
to mark the day.
State-run Khulna Betar will broadcast special programmes while the local
newspapers will bring out special supplements on the occasion.
Roads will be decorated with colourful banners and festoons which will give
the city a festive look.
Discussion will be held in the morning at Khulna Shilpokola Academy
followed by a cultural programme along with children abiding health rules.
Local administration will held separate programmes at Bangabandhu’s
memorial places while essay and art competition for the children will be held
there.
