JFA Cup U-14 Women’s Football begins Monday

DHAKA, March 13, 2021 (BSS) – The JFA Cup U-14 Women’s National Football championship begins from Monday (March 15) with the participation of forty two U-14 district football teams.

The championships organized by BFF will be held at seven zonal venues across the country in phases.

The seven zonal venues are Dinajpur district stadium, Naogaon district Stadium, Lakshmipur district Stadium, Madaripur district stadium, Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh, Bir Muktijoddha Asaduzzaman Stadium in Magura, and Kushtia district Stadium.

Each participation team of the championship will get Taka 20,000.00 as participation money while the host venue will have Taka 30,000.00.

The champions and runners-up team of the final round will get trophy, medal and prize money. The champions of the final round receive Taka 50,000.00 while the runners-up will get Taka 25,000.00 as prize money

Besides, trophy will be given to fair play team, highest scorer of the tournament, best player of the tournament and best rising player while the best zonal venue will get crest.

This time forty 42 teams will take part in the championship while 49 teams participated in the last year’s meet with Magura district teams emerged champions for the first time.

The champion teams of seven venues along the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Difference Party as the eighth team will take part in the 9th Bangladesh Games.

In this regards, a press conference was held today at conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) to provide details of the meet.

FIFA councilor and BFF and AFC member committee for women’s football chairperson Mahfuza Akter Kiron, BFF member and media committee’s chairman Zakir Hossain Chowdhury, BFF member Amer Khan, BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag and BFF technical director Paul Thomas Smalley were present in the press conference.
