PM mourns death of Cox’s Bazar AL leader Badal Das Gupta
DHAKA, March 12, 2021 (BSS) – Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Badal Das Gupta, former vice-president of Cox’s Bazar district unit of AL and husband of Bangladesh Tanti League executive president Sadhona Das Gupta.
In a condolence message, she prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to bereaved family, said an AL press release.
Badal Das Gupta passed away at 3.30pm at his residence today at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife, two sons, three daughters, relatives and a host of well-wishers and admirers.
