JASHORE, March 12, 2021 (BSS) – Two people were killed and 5 others
injured in a road accident in Bhangagate area under Abhaynagar upazila of the
district today.
The deceased was identified as easy-bike driver Shahidul Islam, 42, son of
Sabor Ali resident of Mashorhati village in Abhaynagar upazila of the
district. However, identity of another deceased could not be known
immediately.
Mahmud Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Noapara Highway police station, said
a Jashore-bound bus from Khulna hit an easy-bike in Bhangagate area on
Jashore-Khulna Highway at around 9:30 am, leaving two people dead on the spot
and five others injured.
Police and firefighters rushed to the spot and rescued the victims with
the help of locals. The injured were admitted to Khulna Medical College
Hospital and Abhaynagar Upazila Health Complex.
A case was filed with Abhaynagar police station.
