MOSCOW, July 16, 2018 (BSS/TASS)-Most part of fans left the territory of
Luzhniki Stadium in 1 hour 10 minutes after the end of the 2018 FIFA World
Cup final match and the awarding ceremony, said the press service of the
Moscow Department for Transport and Development of Road and Transport
Infrastructure.

“Immediately after the end of the World Cup awarding ceremony, 55,000 fans
used public transport to leave Luzhniki Stadium. Most part of spectators left
in 1 hour 10 minutes. It is the third time we get this result at Luzhniki
Stadium, which shows the stable operation of the Moscow transport system,”
Deputy Moscow Mayor for Transport Maxim Liksutov said, according to the press
service.

The department said that 50,100 fans went by tube and the Moscow Central
Circle, 3,300 used free S1 shuttle buses to get to the Park Kultury station,
and 1,610 more fans went by taxi.

“More than 40,000 professionals working in the Moscow transport system
helped transport fans during the World Cup. Many of our employees became
volunteers and approached the stadiums on the days of the matches to help
fans find their way in the subway or show them the way to a stadium,”
Liksutov added. During the World Cup foreign fans made numerous positive
reports about the work of the Moscow transport system, he stressed.

The final of the 2018 FIFA World Cup took place at Moscow’s Luzhniki
Stadium on Sunday. Team France hammered Croatia 4-2 in the final match to
grab its second World Cup Trophy. The tournament ran from June 14 to July 15
