Bangladesh Kuala Lumpur mission begins its journey towards full digitalization

DHAKA, March 10, 2021 (BSS) – The Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur launched a digital platform called ‘BanglaTiger Digital’ to connect with huge number of Bangladeshi expatriates living in Malaysia.

Using the platform, the service seekers can easily get services ranging from passport, legalization and job applications at free of cost.

Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur has inched forward to become the first full-fledged digital Mission abroad through this initiative.

Foreign minister Dr AK Abdul Momen today virtually inaugurated the new digital platform that will be technologically managed by Dotlines.

Momen said the current government has taken various initiatives at different foreign missions for the benefit of Bangladeshi expatriates considering their enormous contribution to the country’s economy.

Foreign ministry’s Secretary (East) Mashfee Binte Shams Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Md. Golam Sarwar and deputy high commissioner Mohammad Khorshed A. Khastagir also spoke on the occasion.

After launching of the event, the High Commissioner had an exchange of views with the members of Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB) on the matter.
The Mission is planning to add-on more service like mobile telephony, health service and remittance in future, said Sarwar.
