DHAKA, March 10, 2021 (BSS) – Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor
Barrister Fazle Noor Taposh today said spaces under the flyovers would be
freed for ensuring vehicles’ movement and healthy environment for the people.
“Spaces under the flyovers are widely occupied and fill up with garbage…
We are taking initiatives to free all spaces for vehicles’ movement and make
healthy environment for the people,” he said.
The mayor came up with the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at an
inaugural programme of Laxmibazar playground, said a press release here.
“According to my election manifesto, I want to ensure the facilities of the
children at all free places under the DSCC areas… We have already
identified the places in ward no-7, 13, 27 and 35,” he added.
As part of the weekly regular inspection programme, the DSCC mayor visited
several parts of the Magbazar-Mouchak flyover at Magbazar intersection and
gave various directions.
He also visited the construction works in front of the Mitford Hospital.
During the visit, DSCC Chief Executive Officer ABM Amin Ullah Nuri, Chief
Engineer Rezaur Rahman, Secretary Akramuzzaman were present, among others.
