11,046 get COVID-19 vaccines in Rangpur division on Tuesday

RANGPUR, March 9, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 11,046 people received
coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines today raising the total number of vaccine
recipients to 3,67,890 in Rangpur division.

“As many as 11,046 people were administered COVID-19 vaccines at different
government hospitals in the division. Of them 6,650 are male and 4,396
female,” Rangpur Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Md. Ahad Ali told BSS
tonight.

Of the total 3,67,890 people inoculated so far, 2,32,854 were male and
1,35,036 female.

The district-wise break-up of 3,67,890 vaccine recipients stands at 75,554
in Rangpur, 30,581 in Panchagarh, 53,000 in Nilphamari, 26,574 in
Lalmonirhat, 31,665 in Kurigram, 37,166 in Thakurgaon, 77,858 in Dinajpur and
35,492 in Gaibandha of the division.

Chief of Divisional Coronavirus Service and Prevention Task Force and
Principal of Rangpur Medical College Professor Dr. AKM Nurunnobi Lyzu said
the COVID-19 vaccination campaign is continuing smoothly at different
government hospitals in the division.

He suggested all to abide by the health directives and wear masks while
going outside even after taking COVID-19 vaccines, to check further infection
of the deadly virus.
