CUSTOMS DUTY-E PAYMENT
E payment mandatory if customs duty reaches Tk 2 lakh: NBR
DHAKA, March 7, 2021 (BSS) – The customs duty against import and export invoices reaching Taka 2 lakh or above will have to be paid through online starting from this July 1.
Meanwhile, all kinds of customs duty reaching Taka 2 lakh and above would have to be made through e-payment from January 1 next year.
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has issued an order in this regard today.
NBR Chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem has recently said that payment of income tax, VAT and customs duty will be made through online in order to ensure much more transparency in revenue collection.
