The minister said the historic speech Bangabandhu delivered on March 7, 1971 before the tens of thousands of people ignoring the blood-red eyes of the Pakistani army was recognised by UNESCO as one of the best historical speeches in the world.

“Inspired by this speech, we got an independent Bangladesh because the freedom fighters fought to death,” he added.

Shahab Uddin said Bangabandhu has given the country’s independence and his daughter Sheikh Hasina has brought the world honor for the country.
