Bangladesh condemns Houthi’s drone attacks targeting SA

DHAKA, March 7, 2021 (BSS) – Bangladesh has strongly condemned the drone
attacks targeting the Saudi Arabia’s southwestern city Abha by the Houthi
rebels, a foreign ministry press release said here today.

“Bangladesh calls for immediate cessation of such attacks and reiterates
solidarity with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the face of such
aggression,” said the statement.

Dhaka expressed its full support to Saudi Arabia against any threat to its
security and territorial integrity and in their efforts to bring lasting
peace and stability in the region.

“These unprovoked acts by the Houthi rebels undermine the peace and
security in the region,” said the statement.

The first attack, launched on February 10th, hit a parked commercial
aircraft causing damage while the second one, on February 17th, was
intercepted and destroyed by the Joint Coalition Forces before hitting
targets.
