DU chalks out programmes marking historic March-7
DHAKA, March 6, 2021 (BSS) – The Dhaka University (DU) authorities have
chalked out programmes to observe the historic March 7 in a befitting manner
commemorating the landmark speech by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman.
This year, the programme will be held in a limited scale considering the
COVID-19-pandemic situation, said a DU press release here today.
Teachers, students and officials of the university, led by its Vice
Chancellor (VC) Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman will place wreaths at Bangabandhu’s
portrait on the Bangabandhu Bhaban premises at Dhanmondi on Sunday morning.
Later, a discussion on ‘the significance and importance of Bangabandhu’s
historic March 7 speech’ will be arranged at the university’s Abdul Matin
Virtual classroom adjacent to VC’s office at 11:00 am, with VC Akhtaruzzaman
in the chair.
Teachers, students and officials of the university will take part in the
discussion virtually.
