Saif SC move to fourth spot with seven wins

DHAKA, March 5, 2021 (BSS)- Saif Sporting Club moved up to fourth spot in
the league table of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football when they
blanked lowly Brothers Union Club by 4-0 goals in a match at Bangabandhu
National Stadium here.

Thanks to Nigerian forward John Okoli for his prolific form in the league
as he added two more goals today beside his name. He was well supported by
defender Yeasin Arafat and Nigerian forward Kenneth Ikechukwu who scored one
goal each to secure Saif SC’s seventh win in the league after leading the
first half by 2-0 goals.

Saif took lead when defender Yasin scored for Saif in the very first
minute of the match while Kenneth Ikechukwu doubled the lead scoring the
second goal for Saif in the 19th minute of the match.

After the resumption, Okoli further widened the margin scoring the third
goal in the 72nd minute and he completed the tally scoring his second and
fourth goal for Saif in the 84th minute of the match.

Saif SC completely dominated the entire proceeding and notched their
deserving victory while Brothers Union Club was totally off-colored as they
failed to produce any real move.

orange Gopibagh outfit Brothers Union Club stand at twelfth spot with five
points playing the same number of matches.

Holders Bashundhara Kings dominate the league table with 34 points from 12
matches.
