DMP arrests three Huji members in city
DHAKA, Mar 05, 2021 (BSS) – The Counter Terrorism Investigation Division
unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested three members of banned
militant outfit Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami Bangladesh (HuJI-B) in an operation
in city’s Sayedabad area on Thursday.
The arrested are Mohammad Mainul Islam alias Mahin alias Mithu alias Hasan,
Sheikh Sohan Shad alias Bara Abdullah and Murad Hossain Kabir, said a DMP
press release today.
The law enforces nabbed them at around 5.15 pm at the area under Jatrabari
police station and seized 1 private car, 5 mobile phones, 1 microphone, 1
machete, 2 knives, 10 detonators, 170 bearing iron balls, 1 scotch tape, 5
liters of acid, 3 Identity (ID) cards and one Jihadi books from their
possession.
A case has been filed against them with Jatrabari police station.
