Fire in city’s Modhubag area doused
DHAKA, March 5, 2021 (BSS) – A fire that broke out at 5 shops on Hatiljheel Road in city’s Modhubag area this morning ,has been brought under control around 10.40am today.
Being informed, two units of Tejgaon Fire Service and Civil Defense rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flame after an effort of about half an hour, said Md Babul Mia, duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence control room.
A young person named Sujan, 23, was injured in the fire incident, he added.
The fire was initially originated from the gas stove of a nearby food shop, the fire service personnel said, adding that due to the fire, various furniture and goods worth about Taka 1.5 lakh of those 5 shops were gutted.
