SIRAJGANJ, March 4, 2021 (BSS) – The first namaz-e-janaza of the Prime Minister’s Advisor on political affairs and Cabinet Secretary of Mujibnagar government during the great liberation war HT Imam was held in Ullapara of the district this noon.
Leaders and activists of Ullapara Awami League (AL) , Jubo League, Chhatra League, Secha Sebok League paid their tributes placing wreaths at his coffin in Ullapara, his birth place.
The janaja was held in Government Akber Ali College premises at 12.00.
Tanveer Imam, MP, Abdul Momin Mondol, MP, Zila Parishad Chairman Abdul Latif Biswas, Acting President of Sirajganj district unit AL K M Hossain Ali, acting General Secretary Abdus Salam Talukder and Deputy Commissioner of Sirajganj Dr Faruk Ahmed, among others attended the janaja.
After the Janaja, the body of HT Imam was brought to Dhaka by a helicopter. He was given a guard of honour before janaja.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Political Adviser HT Imam died last night at Combined Military Hospital at the age of 82.
