Singapore stocks close 0.48 pct higher
SINGAPORE, March 4,2021 (BSS/XINHUA) – Singapore stocks closed higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.48 percent, or 14.41 points, to close at 3,014.78.
A total of 3.12 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.64 billion Singapore dollars (about 1.23 billion U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 251 to 217.
The STI index went up 0.89 percent, or 26.5 points, to close at 3,000.37 on Wednesday.
