SWID advisory committee meeting held
DHAKA, March 3, 2021 (BSS) – An Advisory Committee meeting of Society for the Welfare of the Intellectually Disabled (SWID), Bangladesh was held today at Jatiya Sangsad (JS) with Deputy Speaker and Advisor of SWID Md Fazle Rabbi Miah in the chair.
Former State Minister for Textile and Jute Mirza Azam, MP, Ahsanul Haque Chowdhury, MP, Monira Sultana, MP, Aroma Dutta, MP, Dr. Uttam Kumar Borua, Labonno Ahmed, Dr Monindra Nath Roy, Dr Sufia Khatun, Chowdhury Mohammad Tofail Sami and President of SWID Bangladesh Jowaherul Islam Mamun attended the meeting, among others, said a press release.
The committee was informed about construction and use of a new multi-dimensional building of SWID, Bangladesh on its own land in capital’s Eskaton area.
Deputy Speaker Md Fazle Rabbi Miah called for further engagement of Members of Parliaments with the services for differently-able children and forming a parliamentary caucus body to this end.
The meeting approved previous meeting minutes and had a discussion on work plan in the year of 2021.
