MANIKGANJ, March 02, 2021 (BSS) – A gang of miscreants killed a leader of
Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), Singair upazila unit, of Manikganj this
afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Faruque Hossain Miru, general secretary of
Singair upazila unit of BCL and VP of Singair Government College, is the son
of Abdul Kader of Azimpur village under the upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Singair police station Rokibuzzaman said some
miscreants attacked Miru with sharp weapons near Old godown area at about
1:30 am when he was returning home from a meeting, leaving him severely
injured.
“I found him in critical state when I was coming to police station and
rescued him with the help of Singair Upazila Chairman Musfikur Rahman
Hannan,” the OC said.
Miru was first admitted to Singair Upazila Health Complex and later he was
taken to the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic
Rehabilitation widely known as Dhaka Pangu Hospital where he died this
afternoon.
