Rupali Bank, Manha’s Castle take joint lead
DHAKA, Mar 1, 2021 (BSS) – Rupali Bank Krira Parishad and Manha’s Castle
took joint lead in the points table with maximum 10 points after the 5th
round matches of the “Mujib Barsho” 1st Division Chess League now being held
at Chess Federation hall-room.
Mir Chess Club followed the leaders with 7 match points while Sultana
Kamal Smirity Pathagar shared the 3rd position with 6 points.
In the day’s 5th round matches were held today with Rupali Bank Krira
Parishad beat Kasparov Chess Club by 4-0 game points.
Indian IM Neealsh Saha, Arpan Das, CM Saifur Rahman and Shafiq Ahmed of
Rupali Bank Krira Parisad won against Neloy Debnath, Mazharul Kabir, Mollah
Istiak Ahmed and Shawkat Ali Sheikh of Kasparov Chess Club.
Manha’s Castle beat Dhaka Chess Club by 2.5-1.5 game points. FM Mohammad
Javed and CM Sharif Hossain of Manha’s Castle won against Mohammed Mainuddin
and Aniruddh Chatterjee of Dhaka Chess Club, Sourath Biswas of Dhaka Chess
Club won against CM S M Sharon of Manha’s Castle and Afzal Hossain Sacchu of
Dhaka Chess Club drew with Anata Choudhury of Manha’s Castle.
Mir Chess Club beat Agrani Bank Daba Dal by 2.5-1.5 game points. WFM
Nazrana Khan Eva of Mir Chess Club won against Md Monir Hossain Khan of
Agrani Bank Daba Dal. FM Eunus Hasan, Aditya Chatterjee and Ankit Ray of Mir
Chess Club split points with CM Monir Hossain, Farhadur Imam and Nsir Uddin
Mahmood of Agrani Bank Daba Dal respectively.
Esoft Arena Chess Club drew with Morning Glory Chess Club by 2-2 game
points.
Beleal Hossain of Esoft Arena Chess Club won against Dr. Ratan Kumar
Paul of Morning Glory Chess Club, Kushtia, Md Muhimenul Islam of Morning
Glory Chess Club, Kushtia won against Siddiqur Rahman of Esoft Arena Chess
Club. Uten & Swarnavo Choudhury of Esoft Arena Chess Club split point with
Masudul Haque and Syed Mahbubul Alam of Morning Glory Chess Club, Kushtia.
Sultana Kamal Smirity Pathagar beat Basir Memorial Chess Club by 4-0
game points. Feroz Ahmed, Arpan Das (Junior), Mohammad Shameem and Arya
Bhakta of Sultana Kamal Smirity Pathagar won against Mohammed Salim, Syed
Sazzad Hossain, Abdullah Al Raison and KAzi Taherul Islam of Basir Memorial
Chess Club respectively.
Khelghar Daba Sangah of Gopalganj beat Dhaka Knight’s Chess Club by 2.5-
1.5 game points. Abdul Momin and Nayan Kumae Mohanto of Khelaghar Daba Sangah
won against Marzouq Chowdhury and Shazzad Kishior of Dhaka Knight’s Chess
Club respectively.
Wajiul Mehdi of Dhaka Knight’s Chess Club beat Md Anisuzzaman of
Khelaghar Daba Sangah and Md Hossain Ali of Dhaka Knight’s Chess Club drew
with Alamgir Hossain of Khelaghar Daba Sangah of Gopalganj.
The 6th round matches start tomorrow (Tuesday) from 3 pm at the same
venue.
