Biman’s new chief vows to maintain flight schedule

DHAKA, March 1, 2021 (BSS) – Newly appointed Biman’s Managing Director and
CEO Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal today said his first task is to ensure flight
schedule of the national flag carrier.

“Maintaining flights schedule is the biggest challenge for Biman
Bangladesh Airlines,” he said at his maiden press briefing at Balaka,
headquarters of Biman, in the capital.

The Biman’s new chief said it is his dream to see flights of the national
carrier departs on time.

“If it can be ensured, then Biman has a bright future,” he added.

Kamal said that he has decided to make a strategic planning with short,
mid and long term approaches to take the national carrier into a new height.

About the challenges the global aviation industry is now facing due to the
pandemic, Kamal said he has his own plan to bring success in Biman overcoming
the hurdles posed by the COVID-19.

The new head of the Biman said he would not hesitate to take action
against any officials if he or she is found involved in corruption.
