DHAKA, Feb 28, 2021 (BSS) – Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed today
said that Bangladesh has set a successful example in the world in combating
coronavirus, keeping the wheels of development vibrant.

“The global pandemic coronavirus could not stop the development activities
in the country. The progress of the country is moving forward under the
dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” he said.

The minister made the remarks while addressing a discussion marking the
65th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Diabetic Somiti (BADAS) and Diabetic
Awareness Day as the chief guest at BIRDEM General Hospital in the city.

BADAS President AK Azad Khan presided over the discussion while its
Secretary General Md Sayef Uddin was present.

Noting that the country’s health sector has witnessed a revolutionary
development under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Nuruzzaman
said the health services have already been reached at doorstep of the people.

“Our health sector is successfully dealing with the coronavirus when the
whole world is facing difficulties in combating the virus,” he added.

The minister urged the officials of the BADAS to expand activities of the
