BMAL leaders vow to build Bangabandhu’s Sonar Bangla

RANGPUR, Feb 27, 2021 (BSS) – Local leaders of Bangladesh Mohila Awami League (BMAL) at a discussion here today vowed to build a prosperous Sonar Bangla as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

They viewed this at two separate discussions organised by the district and city units of BMAL at their respective offices in celebration of the 52nd founding anniversary of the organisation in the city.

The district and city units of BMAL brought out colourful rallies, placed wreaths at the portrait and mural of Bangabandhu followed by discussions and doa mehfils.

Later, leaders and workers of BMAL paraded the city streets and placed wreaths at the mural of Bangabandhu at Bangabandhu Square in the city.

With President of the district unit of BMAL Mortuza Mansur in the chair, its General Secretary Advocate Zakia Sultana Choite moderated the discussion held at its office this evening.

Publicity and Publication Affairs Secretary of district Awami League Latifa Shawkat attended the discussion as the chief guest.

Member of district Awami League Ekota Luna and Vice-president of district unit of BMAL Parvin Akhter addressed.

Religious Affairs’ Secretary of district Awami League Moulana Moynul Islam conducted the doa mahfil seeking divine blessings for the departed souls of Bangabandhu and his other family members martyred on August 15, 1975.

The city unit of BMAL celebrated the 52nd anniversary of the organisation through similar programmes in the city.

Presided over by President of Rangpur city unit of Bangladesh Mohila Awami League Mamtaz Begum, its General Secretary Ismat Ara Bonnya moderated the discussion arranged at its office.

Women Affairs’ Secretary of the city unit of the organisation Aleya Khatun Lovely addressed the discussion as the chief guest.
