SATKHIRA, Feb 27, 2021 (BSS) – Two brick kiln workers were killed in a
road accident in front of Taltola BGB Battalion Headquarters here early this
morning.
The deceased were identified as Monirul Islam, 33, son of Samad Sardar
and Mohammad Ali, 42, son of Israf Sardar, both the residents of Bakchara
village under Sadar upazila.
The accident occurred in the area at about 5.30am when a mud-laden truck
hit their bicycle from opposite direction on the Satkhira-Khulna highway,
leaving the duo injured critically, police said
Later, they were sent to Satkhira Medical College Hospital while on-duty
doctor declared them dead.
Some workers, including Monirul and Mohammad Ali, were going to their
work place at Liaquat Ali’s BB Bricks in Binerpota.
Officer-in-charge (investigation) of Satkhira Sadar Police Station
Mohammad Burhanuddin said the bodies were sent to the hospital morgue for
autopsy.
