PANCHAGARH, Feb 26, 2021 (BSS) – A day-long motivational meeting with
journalists on village court law was held at Deputy Commissioner (DC)
conference hall room on Thursday.
District administration and local government under village court
strengthen project (two phase) arranged the programme.
DC Sabina Yeasmin attended the function as the chief guest while Azad
Zahan, deputy director of local government department, presided over it.
Additional DC (Revenue) Abdul Mannana and district facilitator of the
village court strengthen project Amir Hossein, among others, were present.
The village court activities are going on in 43 unions under five upazilas
of the district.
About 12240 cases have been disposed of under village court from July 2017
to January 2021.
The DC said that journalist can play vital role in more strengthening the
village court.
A total of 60 journalists attended the meeting.
