RAJSHAHI, Feb 25, 2021 (BSS)- American Embassy in Dhaka has been
providing international standard training to the members of Fire Service and
Civil Defense (FSCD) for improving their professional efficiency.

Civil Military Support Element (CMSE) of the American Embassy has
arranged a four-day course for Rajshahi FSCD members delivering hands-on
first responder training. The participants were given certificates after
successful completion of the training today.

Besides, each of them was provided with a medical first aid responder
kit stocked with locally procured equipment that will help strengthen
Bangladeshi agencies’ capacities when responding to emergency and crisis
situations.

FSCD Divisional Deputy Director Abdur Rashid said the embassy has taken
the initiative aimed at developing bilateral relation through friendly
partnership.

In the course, FSCD members were imparted training on how to rescue the
victims through reaching the spot quickly during the disaster period.

Abdur Rashid said such type of improved training is the first ever in
the FSCD. As a result of this, the members can deliver highest services
during any disaster period after best uses of the knowledge acquired from the
training.

Since the programme’s initiation in 2014, more than 600 FSCD members
have been imparted training as master trainers.
