15,655 get COVID-19 vaccines in Ctg on Thursday
CHATTOGRAM, Feb 25, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 15,655 people were immunized
with the COVID-19 vaccines today raising the total number of vaccine
recipients people to 2,42,925 in the city and district today.
“Among the vaccine receivers, 8,953 were male and 6,702 female,” Dr
Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram district told BSS.
The total 2, 42,925 citizens immunized so far with COVID-19 vaccines in
the district include 1,40,015 males and 1,02,910 females.
“All vaccine recipient people are leading normal life without remarkable
side effects following immunisation since February 7 last,” Dr. Rabbi said.
Among the total vaccinated people, 7,448 in Chattogram city and 8,207 in
different upazilas of the district, hospital sources said.
People aged 40 years and above now can get registered to receive COVID-19
vaccines, the health official said.
The vaccination drive was conducted at 25 hospitals in the city and
district.
