2,160 farmers get paddy threshing machines in Nilphamari
NILPHAMARI, Feb 24, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 2,160 farmers comprised of 72 farmers’ associations in Jaldhaka upazila of the district were given 72 paddy threshing machines free under the Agriculture and Rural Development Project yesterday.
Under the management of these associations, 2160 marginal farmers’ will get opportunity for threshing paddy.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Mohammad Mahfuzul Haque said the threshing machines were distributed under the Rangpur Division Agriculture and Rural Development Project.
Deputy Commissioner Md Hafizur Rahman Chowdhuary spoke on the occasion as the chief guest through video conference organized at the Upazila Parishad auditorium.
Md. Mahbub Hasan, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, presided over the function. Chairman of the Upazila Parishad Abdul Wahed Bahadur and Vice-chairman Monowara Begum, among others, spoke.
