BCL men urged to engage in nation building activities

RAJSHAHI, Feb 24, 2021 (BSS)- Speakers at a meeting today urged the leaders and workers of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) to supplement Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s efforts of attaining Rupkolpa 2041 through engaging themselves in the nation building activities.

The present government under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly for overall development of the country. So, all the BCL members should extend their sincere support for successful implementation of those.

The speakers came up with the observations while addressing the BCL’s Rajshahi city unit conference 2021 at Rajshahi College premises.

Rajshahi Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton addressed the conference as chief guest, while BCL President Al Nahian Khan Joy opened it formally and its General Secretary Lekhok Bhattcharia spoke as focal person with Rajshahi city unit President Rockey Kumar Ghosh in the chair.

City unit General Secretary Mahmud Hassan Rajib welcomed the participants.

Rajshahi city unit general secretary of Bangladesh Awami Dablu Sarker, central sub-committee member Dr Anika Fariha Jaman Orna and BCL leaders Abdullh Hil Bari, Muhammad Shafiquzzaman and Meer Towhidur Rahman also spoke.

Mayor Liton, who is also the Rajshahi city unit president of Bangladesh Awami League, said the BCL played a heroic role in all the movements including the great liberation war and urged the present leaders and workers to continue the tradition for welfare of the nation.

“You have to develop leadership characteristics among yourselves to lead the future Bangladesh competently,” he reminded the student leaders .

Liton also said the BCL should take the responsibility of directing the young generation on right tack instead of any misdeed and malpractice.
