CHATTOGRAM, Feb 24, 2021 (BSS)- A total of 2,11,615 people have been
vaccinated for Covid-19 in Chattogram district till today.
Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram district, said a total
of 15,895 people have been vaccinated on the 16th day of the corona
vaccination programme.
Among the total vaccinated people, 7,795 in Chattogram city and 8,100 in
different upazilas of the district, hospital sources said.
Meanwhile, a total of 96 more people were detected for COVID-19 positive
today after testing 1,516 samples at six laboratories in Chattogram while the
infection rate is 6.33 percent.
With the new infected people, the total number of coronavirus infected
patients rose to 34,619 in the district.
“The number of cured patients from the lethal virus infection has reached
at 31,889 in the Chattogram district with the recovery of 52 more patients on
Monday,” Dr Rabbi said, adding that the percentage of recovery rate stands at
92.19.
A total of 988 infected patients are now undergoing treatment at designated
hospitals here, the health official mentioned.
Among the newly detected patients, 88 are from Chattogram city and eight
from different upazilas of the district, hospital sources said.
The death toll from the virus rose to 371 with no fatalities reported
afresh in the last seven days, Dr Rabbi said.
Among the reported fatalities, 270 were the residents of the port city and
the rest 101 were from different upazilas of the district.
